U.S. regulators clear pain medication from Labopharm

The FDA has approved Labopharm's Ryzolt, a once-daily version of the painkiller tramadol, for adults with chronic pain. The Canadian company said that Purdue Pharma, its U.S. partner for Ryzolt, intends to market the drug in 100-mg, 200-mg and 300-mg doses in the second quarter of this year.
