National group doubles recommended exercise time for children

The National Association for Sports and Physical Education issued new guidelines earlier this week recommending that children ages 5 through 12 exercise one hour per day. The group is urging parents to pressure schools for additional recess and daily PE classes to help combat a growing obesity trend among children.
