Interest grows in Chinese language instruction

California's Chinese American International School is becoming a key resource for instructors and school officials who want guidance on teaching the language in their own districts. Andrew Corcoran, head of the school, is concerned, however, that the current strong interest in teaching Chinese in U.S. schools might wane if skilled language teachers aren't found.
