Edward Brennan, former Sears CEO, dies at 73

Edward A. Brennan, who rose quickly in his career at Sears, Roebuck & Co. and took the helm when the company was going strong in the 1980s, died Thursday at his home in Illinois. In retirement, Brennan sat on the boards of McDonald's, 3M, AMR Corp. and other companies.
