Lighthouse Biosciences to develop device for MRSA detection

Rochester, N.Y.-based Lighthouse Biosciences LLC plans to develop prototypes of its device equipped with interchangeable chips that could help detect methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections in anywhere from 15 minutes to two or three hours. The NanoLantern process can identify infectious agents by searching for the DNA's segment found in certain pathogens.
