Study: Nonfat milk may increase prostate cancer risk

Results from two new studies reveal that calcium and vitamin D levels in a diet do not appear to be associated with prostate cancer risk, but the intake of low-fat or nonfat milk may influence the development of the disease. One of the studies found that skim milk consumption was tied to advanced prostate cancer while calcium from nondairy products was linked to a lower risk of nonadvanced prostate cancer.
