Varian Medical gets FDA OK for radiotherapy device

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Varian Medical Systems has received FDA approval for its RapidArc radiotherapy device designed to deliver faster and more precise treatments for cancer patients. The company said it will start taking orders for the device immediately and distribute it later this year.
