LightSquared gains one-month reprieve from Sprint for FCC nod

Sprint Nextel has granted LightSquared an additional 30 days from its original deadline for the company to gain permission from the Federal Communications Commission to operate its proposed 4G national wireless network, which has been under scrutiny because of claims of signal interference from those who use GPS-based systems. Government approval is a precondition of Sprint's 15-year network-sharing agreement with LightSquared.
