Google rails against paid links and websites that focus on search engine optimization rather than quality content -- but there are signs the search giant's marketers may be guilty of adopting some of the same practices, notes Danny Sullivan. Bloggers have reportedly been paid to churn out low-quality blog posts plugging Google Chrome, even though brands such as J.C. Penney and Forbes have been penalized by the company for similar paid-link campaigns.
