Mexico's stray dog and cat problem is addressed by veterinarians

Canadian veterinarian Dave Fowler and several colleagues travel to Cabo San Lucas annually and perform spays and neuters on stray animals that have been adopted by local families. "A lot of it is cultural in terms of how people there relate to dogs and cats, certainly some of it is a certain attitude about spaying and neutering," Dr. Fowler said, pointing out the primary reason for the stray animal problem in that area.
