Officials to air drop rabies vaccines in Texas

The Texas Department of State Health Services will drop roughly 1.8 million rabies vaccine doses with the intent of inoculating wildlife against rabies in order to protect domestic animals and humans. Since the first annual vaccine drop in 1996, rabies cases in wild animals have decreased in the area, and last year there were no cases in foxes or canines.
