Oklahoma's oil, gas industry surged in 2011

Oklahoma's oil and natural gas industry experienced a drilling boom in 2011, brought by the discovery of new resource formations and technological breakthroughs in exploration. Oklahoma is getting about 60% of its revenue from oil production, said Mike Cantrell, president of the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance. "Oklahoma is now an oil state again," he said.
