South Korea's KakaoTalk targets 50 countries for growth

Japan, the Middle East and the U.S. are among the target markets for expansion by KakaoTalk, the leading mobile messenger in South Korea. With more than 30 million users, Kakao is eyeing 50 countries for growth, in particular for its Plus Friend service, which lets users pick celebrities, companies or brands to receive information, says CEO Lee Sir-goo.
