Colo. schools join made-from-scratch trend

School nutrition professional Kathy Del Tonto says she made the switch to cooking about 95% of school food from scratch two years ago after receiving training from LiveWell Colorado. The meals are healthier for students, and nutrition professionals feel better about the food, Del Tonto said. "Just knowing the love and the care we put in that food, hoping that it makes a difference for some of those kids," she said.
