Expert calls for balancing patients and computers

Clinicians should make sure that entering information does not detract from connecting with patients, cautions Dr. Kenneth Bertka. If possible, clinicians should sit facing patients even while at the computer. Bertka also recommends that practices be specific about who is responsible for data entry.
