Sen. Sanders defends federal incentives for wind power

A Wall Street Journal editorial and a companion op-ed by former Sen. Phil Gramm, R-Texas, were unfair to single out the tax incentives for wind power, writes Sen. Bernard Sanders, I-Vt., in a letter to the editor. While the editorial and Gramm objected to the wind-energy Production Tax Credit, they ignored the "more than $113 billion in federal subsidies that will go to fossil-fuel industries over the next 10 years alone," Sanders notes.
