Md. cryotherapy device firm obtains $16M in financing

A funding round has pulled in $16 million for CSA Medical, the maker of a catheter-based spray cryotherapy system that delivers liquid nitrogen to flash freeze unwanted tissue within the body. The Baltimore company will use the money to address the rising demand for its truFreeze technology by expanding its sales team and launching new products this year, CEO Bill Floyd said.
