Time Warner, Comcast trade systems

Time Warner Cable, via a trade of a comparably-sized Houston cable system, has gained complete control of its Kansas City property from silent partner Comcast Corp. Time Warner now controls systems in Kansas City, southern and western Texas and New Mexico, with a combined 782,000 basic-video subscribers, while Comcast's new Houston property has 790,000 subscribers.
