Boeing sets new record for aircraft orders in 2007

Boeing booked about 1,400 orders for commercial jetliners in 2007, breaking its previous record set in 2006. Boeing will release its final order total today. European jetmaker Airbus may have sold more planes than Boeing; it will not release its totals until later this month. On Wednesday, Boeing announced orders from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, Brazil's GOL, Vietnam Airlines, and Vietnam Aircraft Leasing.
