DVD series offers sign-language instruction for young children

Jennifer Wagner Magee, a New Jersey mother who was inspired as a child to learn sign language by a friend who could not hear, has created a series of DVDs to teach signing to young children -- those with and without hearing impairments. Magee said a number of local schools have purchased the "Express Yourself, Baby!" series to use in the classroom. "The earlier you introduce your child to sign language, the sooner the communication process begins," Magee said.
