Windows loses market share to mobile rivals

Microsoft's Windows operating systems lost 0.3% of market share in December and ended down for the year, but still finished 2009 with 92.2% of the OS market, according to Net Applications. Windows 7 has been gaining users -- but so have mobile operating systems such as Google's Android and Apple's iPhone OS, which are chipping away at Windows' dominance.
