1,700 sign petition to set aside sign code in Fargo, N.D.

Portable-sign companies collected more than 1,700 signatures on a petition to set aside Fargo, N.D.'s new sign code, which contains restrictions that some say could cost local sign companies up to 75% of their business. If at least 1,425 of the signatures are determined to be valid, the city will be required to revert to the old sign code until residents have a chance to vote on the issue in June 2012.
