Google has added an extra click to reach the Images or News sections on its beta home page. The redesign continues the clean look of previous versions, using a gray bar at the top that triggers a drop-down menu of options. Experts say the extra step is marketer-friendly. "For most people, their first route into the Google universe will be back through the search bar again, which helps the firm expose more people to advertising," says Davies Murphy Group's Chris Green.
