Mobile is seen as key to social media in presidential campaign

Although mobile devices are helping to fuel political movements around the world, U.S. presidential candidates by and large are not offering mobile applications to take advantage of the platform. Though many GOP candidates and President Barack Obama have a strong social media presence, "social media done right includes mobile, because mobile allows candidates to loop in supporters in the moment and stay in touch and respond in real time," says Rob Enderle, an analyst for Enderle Group.
