2013 CES: Is it finally time for a real "connected home"?

At next week's International CES, more than 900 exhibitors are expected to showcase products for the "connected home," Lauren Goode writes in this analysis. "Whereas it used to be all about home control, now it means leveraging existing products we’re already using, including tablets and smartphones," says Jeff Joseph of the Consumer Electronics Association, noting that "connected home" products were first shown at CES in 2000.
