Experts remind grillers to let gas dissipate before relighting

Relighting propane grills before the gas has had time to dissipate presents a risk of fire, experts warn. Last month, ESPN anchor Hannah Storm suffered burns to her face, neck, chest and hand when she relit her grill when gas had built up. Stuart Flatow with the Propane Education & Research Council recommends waiting at least five minutes before relighting a propane grill to allow the gas to dissipate.
