Hyundai, Kia to integrate Google APIs in new models

Two South Korean automakers say they will integrate application programming interfaces from Google into new vehicle models. Hyundai will add APIs from Google Maps to its Blue Link telematics platform, a voice-activated, location-based navigation system. Kia Motors America says Google APIs will be used for content and search functions it plans to include in its UVO eServices telematics system in the 2014 Sorento CUV.
