Immunization, preventive care among top AAFP issues in 2012

The AAFP had an important role in recommendations for immunizations and preventive care issued in 2012, a year in which family physicians also found themselves dealing with multiple disease outbreaks. The Academy increased its efforts to stop opioid abuse and joined the White House to aid returning military veterans who have PTSD, depression and traumatic brain injuries.
