Kettle predicts flavor trends

Kettle Brand said it will debut at least one potato chip flavor this summer based on its predicted flavor trends of sweet and smoky, hot, sweet and salty, tangy, and floral. "There is a trend toward home-made, artisan and slow-cooked foods, as well as knowing where your food comes from," said Carolyn Ottenheimer, flavor architect for the Diamond Foods brand.
