Mondelez taps mobile startups for in-store marketing

Mondelez International has chosen nine startup companies from 126 applicants looking to take part in a mobile-technology program aimed at improving in-store marketing. The "Mobile Futures" program could result in a stand-alone company, said Edward Kaczmarek, director of innovation and emerging technology. "We are trying to create something new that solves these broader business challenges but that isn't currently in the market," he said.
