Report: D&O liability coverage primary rates rose in Q3

The third quarter saw a 4.5% increase in primary rates for directors-and-officers liability insurance compared with the same period in 2011, but overall premiums remained unchanged as a result of dwindling excess-insurance rates, according to a report from Aon. The upward trend in primary pricing started in April, Aon said, adding that "we continue to see a separation between primary and excess rates."
