Uncertainty about winter curbs production of some snowblowers

Some retailers and stores in Michigan report that the mild winter has weakened snowblower sales, with one saying that its customers who plan ahead generate the demand for two-stage snowblowers, which they generally buy between September and December. Uncertainty over snowfall means that some manufacturers curb production of the machines so they can use excess inventory from one year during the next.
