United to begin Tokyo service on Boeing 787

United is expected to begin service between Los Angeles and Tokyo today on the 787, but has delayed service between Houston and three overseas destinations. "By delaying the LOS [Lagos] and LHR [London Heathrow] service, we will use this additional time to work with Boeing to continue to improve the reliability of the aircraft," said United in an employee newsletter.
