CH2M Hill picked to manage stalled Port of Anchorage expansion project in Alaska

CH2M Hill has been chosen by the city of Anchorage, Alaska, to replace a federal agency as manager of the expansion project at the Port of Anchorage. Issues with the viability of the project's Open Cell Sheet Pile design have stalled the work since 2009. The project's cost has jumped from the original estimate of $211 million to $1 billion, a federal audit revealed.
