Grand Canyon offers incentives for quiet air tour operators

A new $25 per flight fee for air tour companies operating in Grand Canyon National Park took effect Wednesday, but companies that use technology to quiet the sound of aircraft will pay only $20 per flight. A 2012 transportation bill required the National Park Service and the Federal Aviation Administration to initiate incentives for aircraft that use quiet air technology.
