Lenovo, ZTE, Acer and Archos target 4G with new smartphones

Several vendors announced on Thursday smartphone and tablet launches, but several of these devices will likely remain overseas. ZTE unveiled the Grand S II, a new flagship phone, along with other handsets and its first "phablet." Lenovo's Vibe Z Android phone will be the Chinese vendor's first phone that supports Long-Term Evolution, but there is no U.S. version planned. Archos, a brand better known in Europe, will also unveil its first LTE devices next week, and Acer is bringing new 7- and 7.9-inch Iconia tablets to market that will be priced starting at $130.
