TSA relaxes certain rules for PreCheck background checks

The Department of Homeland Security has decided to relax restrictions on releasing information from background checks for the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck program. "DHS will consider requests on a case-by-case basis, and in certain instances may waive applicable exemptions and release material that otherwise would be withheld," according to a final rule published Thursday. TSA also plans to provide applicants more leeway to correct inaccurate information causing them to be denied for PreCheck.
