Obese people say they'd risk death for even modest weight loss

As many as 33% of obese people and 19% of overweight people said they would accept the risk of death for even a mild 10% weight loss, according to new research. In the study of 366 patients, in which a third of the group was overweight, 27% were obese and the rest were of normal weight, only 4% of the normal weight subjects said they would risk death for the 10% weight loss.
