Cable gears up for quadruple play

Although traditional phone companies such as AT&T and Verizon own stakes in cellular companies, it's the cable business that seems to be taking the early lead in quadruple play. The cable operators involved in a joint venture with wireless carrier Sprint Nextel -- Comcast, Time Warner, Cox Communications and Advanced Newhouse -- will launch cell services this year.
