Despite objections, N.J. school-funding bill moves forward

New Jersey House and Senate budget committees on Thursday approved Gov. Jon Corzine's proposal to completely overhaul the state's school funding formula, amid strong objections from some local policymakers and urban community leaders. The full Senate and House will both take up the proposal Monday, the final full day of New Jersey's legislative session.
