Gay-only ENDA has Kennedy's backing for vote this year

U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., this year will seek to win passage of the gay-only Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which cleared the House late last year, according to a spokeswoman. In other ENDA-related news, a Human Rights Campaign spokesman is saying a leaked internal memo setting forth a timetable for ENDA passage in 2009 was a draft and not the organization's final position on the measure.
