Industry searches for home automation "killer app"

While consumers perceive multiroom audio and home cinema as attractive features in a home, many still are perplexed by home automation. Industry experts differ on what the "killer app" for home automation will be, but most agree easy-to-use interfaces and increased integration will speed adoption of the technology. "As always, technology will likely reduce installation costs and increase connectivity," writes Jay McLellan, president and chief executive officer of HAI.
