Newark terminal locked down following security breach

Flights were grounded and thousands of passengers rescreened on Sunday after a man breached security at Newark Liberty International Airport. Officials said the man entered the "sterile" area of Terminal C via the exit lane, prompting a lockdown that lasted more than five hours. "The man in question was never located; however, TSA's rescreening effort will ensure that every passenger boarding an aircraft tonight out of Newark's Terminal C has been fully screened," said a TSA spokeswoman.
