FAO chief predicts food price decline in 2012

Food prices are likely to remain volatile in 2012 but reductions are likely, says Jose Graziano da Silva, head of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. Da Silva, who took over as director general of the FAO on Jan. 1, also predicted there will not be dramatic increases in the number of people going hungry worldwide during 2012.
