Color me sated: Study finds tableware hues affect taste

Home chefs looking to impress their guests may want to start paying more attention to what they're serving their food in, according to new research that finds the color of a plate, cup or bowl may have a decisive effect on the taste of what's in it. The study by researchers at Spain's Polytechnic University of Valencia was limited to hot chocolate and found that the steamy beverage was more enjoyable when served in a cream-colored or orange cup.
