"The Great Gatsby" forms centerpiece of students' study of the 1920s

Social studies and English departments at Ohio's Berea High School are teaming up for a unit on the Roaring Twenties, with F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" as the primary component of the project. The school library later this month will transform into scenes from the book with re-enactments and important figures from the era. "We want people to understand the full impact this book reveals of that time and its importance," said Laurie Scriven, Berea High School librarian.
