Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., the first openly bisexual member of Congress, has risen from a challenging childhood to become an outspoken public leader, able to work both sides of the aisle. One colleague who worked with her in the Arizona Legislature said he never doubted she would eventually serve in Congress.
