Building boom sets record

Construction spending in the U.S. hit another high in November 2003, rising to a seasonally adjusted rate of $934.5 billion -- a 1.2% overall increase from October. The Commerce Department reported government spending on construction projects reached its strongest rate since July 2003 and office construction increased 2.5%.
