Dollar reaches new lows after Fed official speaks out

The U.S. currency hit a record low compared with the euro, falling as low as $1.2695 per euro, and reached a three-year low against the yen today. On Sunday, Federal Reserve Gov. Ben Bernanke said interest rates should remain low for a while and that the rate policy was "justified by the current low level of inflation."
