Music file-sharing declines sharply after lawsuits

A Pew Internet & American Life Project survey found that people who say they use file-swapping music download services dropped to 14% toward the end of 2003, down from 29% in the spring. The decline indicates that lawsuits filed by recording companies may have had the desired effect.
